This series will help introduce students to the breadth and depth of texts available for study in Middle High German. Each month, Dr. Isaac Schendel surveys the group to see which text students are most interested in exploring next.

Required Texts
Iwein, the Middle High German Arthurian epic poem by Hartmann von Aue. There are a number of good dual-language editions of the Iwein poem available from large publishing companies, and any one of them will do. The instructor is partial to the de Gruyter edition (ISBN: 3110160846), but other editions, like the Reclam one (ISBN: 9783150190111), are also acceptable.
