Kerra Fletcher

Kerra Fletcher earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Emory & Henry College and an M.S. in Chemical Physics from The Ohio State University. After spending 20 years working as a scientist in various capacities including academic research, science publication, collegiate education, national defense, currency manufacturing, and facility management, she once again changed trajectories and enrolled in Signum University’s graduate program in 2022.

As an amateur scholar, Kerra focuses on Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal and Age of Resistance. She has presented at several Mythmoot conferences individually and with her collaborator-spouse, Jason Troutman. Some of her favorite talks include “Their Paths Were Laid That Way: How Fate, Fortune, and Freedom Combine to Create the Tales that Really Matter” and “Re-Telling by Pre-Telling: An Exploration of the Recurring Role of Prophecy.”

In her spare time, Kerra periodically participates in the SPACE Creative Writing Sector in an attempt to finish a series of short gothic horror stories. She loves to explore new museums in New England, where she currently resides with with her spouse and two children.
