Designed for students who have started Latin but have yet to finish a complete Latin textbook, the modules in this cluster introduce advanced beginners to more complex verb forms, including participles (Latin for Beginners 6) and present subjunctives (Latin for Beginners 8). Students who have completed Wheelock's Latin through chapter 19 should be able to handle this course with ease. Students who have studied with other textbooks will benefit from familarity with the following: - stems, endings, cases, agreement, and parts of speech - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th declension endings for nouns and adjectives - regular Latin verb conjugations in all indicative tenses (present, imperfect, future, perfect, pluperfect, future perfect), both active and passive, and the imperative forms - conjugations of of “sum” and “possum” - forms of ego, tu, is, hic, ille, iste, idem, qui, and reflexives - ablatives of means, accompaniment, manner, time, agent, separation, and place from which, as well as genitive of the whole and use of genitive and ablative with cardinal numerals
